Chicken and Rice
EditA simple one-pot chicken and rice dish with garlic and herbs.

Ingredients
- 600 gram Chicken thighs
- 2 cup Basmati rice
- 500 millilitre Chicken stock
- 3 piece Garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper
Steps
- Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.(5 min)
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden on both sides, about 4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.(10 min)
- Sauté minced garlic in the same pot for 1 minute until fragrant.(1 min)
- Add rice and stir to coat in the oil. Pour in chicken stock and bring to a boil.(3 min)
- Place chicken on top of rice, reduce heat to low, cover and cook until rice is tender and chicken is cooked through.(25 min)
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.(5 min)
